Concept
To launch WHOOP 4.0, the most advanced 24/7 fitness tracker and health monitor, and WHOOP Body, a first-of-its-kind line of smart apparel, we developed a multi-phased global media strategy to disseminate the news around the world. To garner mass media coverage from a diverse set of verticals across technology, lifestyle, sports, fashion, business and news, the team dissected the launch story and created a PR plan that would highlight unique parts of the WHOOP 4.0 and WHOOP Body news to different media. An embargo strategy led to securing top tier media coverage in advance, alongside executive interviews to drive home brand and product storytelling. Waves of coverage continued to rollout as media started to experience WHOOP 4.0 and WHOOP Body firsthand, leading to an uptick into social engagement, website traffic, and ultimately ecommerce success.
